Around The Office - November 2019

November 20, 2019

Time to Give

Although we encourage all of our clients to give back to their communities throughout the year, each November leading up to Thanksgiving the idea always takes center stage.  Last year, charitable giving topped over $427 billion! Giving to all nine major categories of recipient organizations grew, making 2018 the first time in the past 40 years to top 400 billion! The nine categories are: religion, education, human services, foundations, health, public-society benefit, arts, culture and humanities; international affairs, and environment and animals. During the entire month of November, our firm will be focused on giving. Our blogs and social media content will also focus not only on the good will of doing so, but also at times the financial benefits. Should you have any questions about how making certain charitable contributions may benefit your overall financial plan (and your favorite charities), please do not hesitate to reach out to the office!

Let’s Bowl!

Recently the office took some time out to get together for some team building.  What better way to do so than to lace up the bowling shoes and hit the lanes at Nutmeg Bowl here in Fairfield.  We had almost 100% participation and took four lanes over for some friendly competition and good conversation.  In addition to affording everyone some fun times, getting everyone together outside of the office is a very important goal of the entire Moneco Advisors Team. We already have tentative plans for some additional activities including a friendly game of axe throwing at a new location here in CT and some indoor golf simulation!

Toy Time

This year the office will once again be collecting unwrapped toys for children aged 1-16 to assist The Fairfield Police Department in their Annual Toy Drive.  We will have a collection box in our office at 2150 Post Road.  Stop by anytime during normal business hours Monday-Friday from 9:00-5:00, up until December 20th.  Any and all assistance is appreciated.  Happy Holidays!
