Small Business Retirement Plans & PEP

This week our Insights team takes a look at small business retirement plans, as well as the rise of Pooled Employer Plans (PEP). Team MONECO For The Win!

At MONECO, we are fortunate to be centrally located to several top notch universities. Over the years, our challenging internship program that focuses on all areas of wealth management and financial planning has evolved, mainly due to the talent we have access to. Last week we closed out another semester with two great interns from Fairfield University, Sara Wentland & Matt Molta. Over the course of the semester, they have been invaluable contributing members of the greater MONECO team. They gained experience in all facets of the business, which included helping to assist with compliance tasks, operations, marketing, client management and investment management. But before we sent them home for the holidays, in typical MONECO fashion, we treated them and some of the team to a pizza party as a thank you for all of their hard work. Although we will say bye to Matt for now, we look forward to welcoming back Sara, as she will return next semester for another round. We can't thank you enough Sara & Matt and are confident that your semester with the team was a positive one! (pictured below is some of the team with Sara & Matt, post pizza party)

Promising Shift In Labor Statistics

In yet another sign that could impact the Federal Reserve's future monetary policy moves, an important labor report came out last week that is closely watched by the FED. The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, or JOLTS report, shows the ratio of job openings compared to the number of unemployed workers. This latest report shows that this ratio is coming into better balance, something the FED has been wanting to see. Have a read below to learn more and as always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.
