Here Comes Santa Clause
At MONECO, we pride ourselves in striving to always be giving back to the communities which we are so fortunate to serve in. Last week we highlighted Scott Flynn on the team and this week it is Colleen Galushko's turn. When not working with clients and building out financial plans, Colleen fulfills the role of President of the Board of Directors for the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra (WSO). The WSO was founded in December, 1974 and its first concert was endorsed and funded by the Horizons Committee of the Wallingford Bicentennial Commission as a project in tribute to our nation's 200th anniversary. The inaugural concert performance was in December 1974 in the Paul Mellon Arts Center, which became the home of the WSO thanks to the generosity of Choate Rosemary Hall.
On Sunday, Dec 18th the WSO had their fan favorite Holiday Concert at Colony Hall on the campus of Choate. This is always a well attended event for they have area choirs from schools sing with the orchestra. This year the two middle school choirs from Wallingford sang with the WSO. They of course also had a special visitor come by, that Colleen had a chat with, to see if her daughters were on the right list this year!

Consumer Confidence Rebounds
Despite the continued inflationary pressures that the economy is facing, consumer confidence jumped in December prior to the holidays, to a level not seen since April. Gas prices continued to drop and folks believed that we may be closer to the end, than the beginning in regards to the Federal Reserves' interest rate hikes. Only time will tell if this is true, but respondents of the survey are clearly more positive than they were over the previous few months. As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to the office.
