Team MONECO - Orion Ascent Conference

At MONECO, we are constantly striving to exceed our client's expectations, both inside and outside of the office and always be learning. Frequently attending conferences that are hosted by some of our technology partners is a big part of this. The firm leverages a very robust portfolio accounting software that powers our client portal and is critical for ongoing analysis and reporting. Last week one of our Senior Relationship Managers, Kyle Scafariello, attended the Orion Ascent Conference to learn more about how the firm can further leverage this platform. The conference included over 50 break out sessions, 30 speakers and 5 deep dive workshops to learn how we can further immerse ourselves in this technology for the benefit of our clients.  The team is anxiously looking forward to hearing from Kyle everything he was able to learn and put into motion upon his return!

Sticky Inflation

Last week the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed prices rose 0.4%, which marked the largest monthly increase since September. On a "core" basis, which strips out the more volatile costs of food and gas, prices in February climbed 0.4% over the prior month and 3.8% over last year. This may indicate that rate cuts sooner rather than later are still a possibility, as inflation gradually comes down. If the costs of shelter come down faster, than the Fed could become more confident about rates dropping, as shelter is a major contributor to core inflation. As always if you have any questions, we are here for you!
