MONECO is hiring a Lead Advisor to work out of the firm’s Pittsfield, MA office. The position’s primary role is client retention and development through the delivery of financial planning and investment advice. The position demands developing close relationships with clients to provide them advice on cash flow, investments, insurance, retirement, tax, and estate planning. The Lead advisor is expected to coordinate with and manage other team members to provide these services, so this position is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the relationship.

This position has four main areas of responsibility:

  • Client Management: Lead client meetings to understand and advise on client’s financial needs. Responsible for implementing our client service model to deliver on client experience. Work within our CRM (Wealthbox) to maintain up to date client information.
  • Financial Planning & Investing: Perform analysis of planning relation topics clients bring up in the standard course of business. Maintain a profile of client’s planning data in firm planning software (eMoney/MoneyGuidePro). Work with clients to develop investment strategies to fit within their financial planning needs and utilizing the firm investment management process to implement and monitor portfolios.
  • Client Development: Develop new business through referrals from existing clients by providing superiors client service. Build additional channels of new business by engaging with the local community, acting as an ambassador of the firm, and participating in firm sponsored business development activities.
  • Team Management: Work with the Wealth Management Department to model and implement financial plans and recommendations. Act as a mentor to the next generation of financial planners and advisors.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills required.
  • 7 or more years’ experience in a financial advisory role is required.
  • Experience in working with financial planning software required (eMoney or MoneyGuidePro is a plus).
  • Experience with a CRM system is required.
  • Series 65 license or regulatory equivalent (e.g. CFP®) is required. Additional licenses (Series 7, 62, 24) are a plus.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with team members to accomplish tasks and deliver results on time and in good order.
  • Willingness to act as an ambassador for the firm to our clients as well as others in the local community.
